UE5 and current GPUs

The AMD cards are doing better the Nvidia ones. Maybe Nvidia needs to get some new drivers out. Even at qHD when FPS is better:

The RX7900XT can break 60FPS at qHD,and the RTX4070TI can't and is 10FPS slower. The RTX4070 is only 10FPS slower than an RTX4070TI.The RX6800 is just below an RTX4070(the RX6800XT is faster) and the RX6800XT is nearly 20% faster than an RTX3080 10GB. In fact Ampere isn't doing that great it appears! :(

I checked GameGPU to see if the results were off at TPU - they are not and GameGPU is testing a less intense scene it appears.

Wasn't the argument that people would never buy an RX7900XT for a UE5 game? I thought the RTX4070TI 12GB was the perfect dGPU for the next few years at all resolutions for UE5. Apparently not! The difference between the RTX4070 and RTX4070TI is less than the RTX4070TI and your RTX4080 16GB! :p
Well, I said it was the GPU itself that normally lacks the power, is not necessary the vRAM if the game is coded right. And that 4070ti is not a 4k card, just sold as one :p

Joke aside, vRAM usage is ... impressingly low. Although I need to play and see how good the textures are.

As a sidenote thess games which will do RT on dedicated hardware (not just lesser quality that Lumen is), I guess the advantage commanded by AMD would shrink or disappear.

TBH,we will need to see if the next few weeks of driver updates from both companies might change things,so things could look better on the Nvidia side.

But my bigger issue is people making bold commentary on why the RX7900XT should never be purchased over an RTX4070TI(especially as the latter costs more, and does not come with an expensive AAA game either). There are use cases for both, but both have been upscaled in BOTH price and name. The RTX4070TI should be an RTX4070 and the RX7900XT,an RX7800XT. The RTX4070TI has the issue of its memory bandwidth being the same as the RTX4070,which is why the RX6800XT and RX6900XT were so close together too.
