Provisional pots assuming tonights results (bold):

Pot 1 - Chelsea, Barca, Man Utd, Munich, Madrid, Arsenal, Porto, AC Milan

Pot 2 - Valencia, Benfica, Shaktar, Zenit, Schalke, Man City, Kyiv, Braga

Pot 3 - Olympiakos, Ajax, Copenhagen, Spartak/Fenerbache, Anderlecht, Juve, PSG, Galatasary

Pot 4 - Celtic, Dortmund, Zagreb, BATE, Cluj, Malaga, Montpellier, Nordsjaelland.

Based on this:

You've put Juve and PSG who are both pot 3 in the same group.

Best draw would possibly be:

Barcelona/Madrid
Man City
PSG/Juve
Dortmund

Could get some absolutely mental groups tied from this.

Man Utd
Benfica
Juve
Dortmund

Heard it here first.

Dortmund and Juve would have a field day against UTD's defense.

I have a feeling UTD will have the easiest group again. Would be better if pot one wasn't for all the highest ranked teams, its just to make sure the knockout games get good draws.

The pots:

*Finished third in UEFA Champions League group
**Past group stage appearances not including 2012/13
***UEFA Champions League unless stated
****Includes pre-1992 European Champion Clubs' Cup
UEL = UEFA Europa League

Providing they have no one fit, perhaps. Odds are though they'll have players back by the time the competition kicks off. Really dont know why people have such a problem realising this :o

Dream group = best chance of qualifying, as I'm sure a celtic fan wants to see them progress :p

Yeah but realistically for those big occassions, the dream group cannot be beaten.

Expectations at Celtic are not as high as at other CL teams, but of course we would love to progress.

Would be even better if we had to progress from the dream group ;)

Either way, the six games will be great occassions no matter who we are drawn against

Kind of hope we do get a tricky group actually, Fergie might actually take it seriously this year if we do.

I dont think Fergie will mess with the team like he did last season regardless of the group, for that reason I hope it's still as easy as it can be. I do think we'll get Dortmund though (Kagawa going back to his old club and all that)
