UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [10th - 12th December 2024]

Nah he was already slipping, certainly not enough to say it's clear and obvious. Although, is that even a thing in the champs league?
I don't think it's the fall, I think it's the standing on his heel...

I'd also argue that VdB taking Diaz's boot off is what caused the slip.

Very comfortable win that, and 6 from 6, doing rather well in the cl so far. 1st half was better than the 2nd imo. Onto Fulham in Saturday.

At least 5pts clear of 3rd after tomorrows fixtures and only conceded 1 goal which was on opening night and after 3 mins. 0 goals conceded in a good 540 minutes and possibly one of the hardest draws. Not bad going but long way to go. All good performing in the Groups but knockouts will be different so can't really get carried away.

And Real Madrid are the 2025 CL winners :D

Im happy to see Lookman doing so well nowadays. Always looked like he had potential to be a special talent at Everton despite rarely getting game time under Koeman etc.

He's turned into quite some player.

Yes that's the worry, them finding their feet come the knockouts. Should just turn it into a league format, like a super league

They don't always find their feet, they are just the spawniest team I have ever seen in the CL. They won last night due to an absolute gift of a goal, some poor goalkeeping and awful finishing by Atalanta. They have won so many CL recently by scraping past teams through luck and last minute goals its ridiculous.
