UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [11th - 13th March 2025]

Yeah thought this would’ve been the perfect scenario to play our young striker and see what they can offer us. Far too many starters for my liking but I’m sure we’re gonna slow the game right down and play for a boring draw.

How bad must Neto and Setford be.

No wonder a lot of our young talent skips off into the sunset

The highest level Butler-Oyedeji has played is League 2, without scoring a goal, and he's 22. He only makes the bench because of the injury situation and losing bodies from the youth teams. Arteta has given a platform for young players to make a mark, but they have to be good enough.

I can't speak about Chido Obi, but Heaven almost certainly left because he didn't believe there was any chance of usurping the current crop of players. From what I saw of him in the youth teams/pre-season, he looked upper League 1/lower Championship level. I don't think there was any particular buzz around him.

Who do Arsenal prefer in the next round?
Atletico for me.

We are a match for their structure, physicality, can ****house if we need to, and they are far from prolific. I think we'd find it tougher against Real's plethora of attacking talent, with few options ourselves.

If I hear that dizzy woman refer to
Atlético as "Athletyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" once more like she's some sort of Spanish local, I'm throwing my TV out the window.

Think we'll get bummed personally but the fact we've even got here is just mind boggling to me.

Think it'll be closer than what people expect, and you'll be so up for it. You've got a chance

id much rather face real than athletico in the quarters

Athletico will defend deep and we really struggle with that atl east with real you can try attack them on the break
