UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [13th - 15th April 2021]

In case anyone had forgotten. I cannot stand Matic. Such a stodgy footballer and combined with Fred its about as inspiring as the times where we played O'Sheep and Kleberson in midfield.

Agreed, Matic is well past his use by date now. Hopefully get a decent, long term replacement in the summer.
 
Is anyone even ambivalent about Savage as a commentator. Can't stand the guy. His voice, his commentary, his inability to see whats in front of his eyes. All utterly awful.
 
Pretty much every co-commentator at BT Sport stinks for me. Don't know why they hire such incompetent people. They're not even famous ex footballers, most of them are **** ex footballers who are **** analysts too.

Coupled with Ian Darke, the weird offspring of Motty and Martin Tyler, it is quite arduous. I breathe (and sniff) a sigh of relief whenever I discover Steve McManaman is not co-commentating too.

He's awful. What annoys me about football broadcasting is the very limited number of pundits/co-commentators that are used. Savage is awful and what's worse is when he is on the radio with Chris Sutton. Savage offers no tactical insight whatsoever and when you've got old Iain Darke who is no football expert you really need a more authoritative partner. If I'm honest Scholes is crap also but at least we don't have 90 minutes of him. G Nev is in a class of his own tbf but I don't know why BT haven't tried to develop a similar quality pundit.

Sutton is just a miserable serial moaner. I pity his missus.
 
Arsenal game is petering out a bit now, Arsenal have it tied up as long as they do nothing stupid, Prague look barely interested, as if they're resigned to not scoring 4
