UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [15th - 17th February 2022]

It was an awful first half so hard to be any worse. We started to press, won the ball back and forced an error. However it was only when Pogba came on vs 10 men that we had any sort of control. Really so many players showed how they aren't at the required level technically, mentally and physically. How Fred starts when we've loaned out DvdB is unfathomable unless he has a gazillion instagram likes in Brazil. Rashford came on and looked at his petulant worst - honestly is mystifying what has happened to that lad.

Don’t get me wrong Rashford doesn’t look right...it’s like he isn’t interested BUT he was never the player United fans thought he was.

I don't disagree, he's no Mane but his level has fallen so badly and he looks totally lost and like he's lost his passion.

Nothing to shout about in that performance would have ended 1-1 with 11v11.

United are in such a bad spot and i mean that purely from a player effort and attitude perspective, they all look like they don't give a ****!

On one of the few positive notes....Sancho is improving and showing some of his talent.

You can kinda see what Ralf is trying to do with the squad....but most of em can't hack the pace.

Just watched the brief highlights of our game and its another one that could have gone either way even with Brighton down to 10 men. Ronaldos goal was a cracker and completely out of character at the moment. DDG pulled a really top class save out of the bag in the first half as well.

There just seems to be far too much disinterest in playing in this team. Its like they just can't be bothered. Ronaldo behaves like a child every time someone dares not to pass to him when he feels they should. Half our players don't do any sort of defending if it requires running and McFred are just low on confidence and even on form aren't good enough. Its still a mess. I don't know what RR will do come the end of the season. I can't help the feeling that he will just walk away.

I think we will beat Leeds then go into Atletico with a false sense of security then will watch an aging Suarez turn Maguire inside out.

Oh what I would give for an ageing Suarez at United. Hes still an animal.

I think anyone who thinks we are going anywhere in the CL this year is nuts but who knows whether United players will turn up for the CL. Its a lack of application a lot of the time that is causing us the most issues so perhaps they will pull their fingers out for the CL. I mean maybe they might even realise that they like the CL and want to play in it again next season.

PSG vs Real was an interesting one last night. PSG pretty much dominated and deserved the win but I just can't see them beating the like of Man City or Bayern. Man City are on another level at the moment.

Liverpool: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago, Elliott, Mane, Salah, Jota.

Subs: Kelleher, Milner, Keita, Firmino, Gomez, Henderson, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Minamino, Tsimikas, Diaz, Origi, Matip

Bit surprised Diaz hasn't started this one, kinda thought with him being rested weekend he would have started tonight.

No away goals is weird, still trying to wrap my head around what it really means for home and away sides
