UEFA Champions & Europa League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [4th - 6th October 2022]

Eriksen has been poor, delivery is rubbish and might as well not bother running back as his defending is non existent.

Good to see Rashford and Martial coming into form, we're going to need them.

Feel a bit for Ronaldo, he's working hard, but the clinical finishing seems to have deserted him.

Sancho had a good start and has tailed off a bit plus now he will have competition with Anthony. Hopefully he can find some chemistry with Martial as they haven't really played much together. Having those 3 all firing is going to be trouble for any team. Hopefully Martial can go back to the 1 in 2 striker he was during the 19/20 season as he was sublime then.

Sancho and Malacia haven't really gelled yet, when those two are playing the left hand attack is very awkward and blunt, I think with time they'll get there. Dalot and Antony have much better go forward and Dalot's delivery is way better than Malacia.

Malacia and Martinez are the most effective left side defensively though, by a long shot. Shaw gives us the go forward, but lacks Malacia's pace and tenacity coming back.

Rashford is a completely different player when he's using his pace to get past defences and receive the ball, instead of trying to run through them.

I actually thought Shaw had a good game when he came on. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts on Sunday.

Yeah, he might actually turn out to be quite a bit more effective when he hasn't got to worry about slabhead inside him.

First time in a long time that we're starting to have good options in some positions. I'm personally not that assed about the humping at city or even the laboured win yesterday....things are improving.
