UEFA Champions/Europa League Qualifying Play-Off 18/19/20 August 2015 *** Spoilers ***

That'll do nicely. I'd have been concerned at 2-1, one mistake and we're facing an uphill battle. Can relax a bit and counter attack now (they'll have to go for it).

We haven't been great though in honesty, but Memphis was excellent.

Rather play Fellaini than Rooney. Dead weight in the team who offers nothing. Really hope he's phased out after this year.

Thing is, even if you talk about fitness he's played more than both of them. Hernandez was out for a month with a broken collarbone, hasn't come on and still looked way sharper than Rooney. being unfit is one thing, being unable to get simple passes right is an entirely different matter.

Rooney as you say is just dead weight in the team. He's stopping attacks, getting in the way and offering no help to his team mates.

Rooney did a lot better tonight than he was vs Spurs or Villa, even a small improvement and he will start scoring

Fellaini also missed a good chance before his goal and was also just a lumbering target, cant do anything in the build up (like Rooney nearly setting up No 7 for his hat trick, only for Memphis to sky it)

Rooney seemed ok from what I saw, that backheel for Depay was brilliant.

That's all he did though really. :(

He might improve but he's been pap so far. All he does is drop deep, pass it to someone, then never seems to end up with a chance. Hernandez would unsettle a defence more at the moment.

Well as a neutral and having watched Utd play 3 times this season I would say

Smalling has turned into a solid defender albeit with bad distribution
Romero looks like he will drop some clangers (interesting footage of Valdes and De Gea pointing at him after his error and interesting body language)
Depay looks good,
Januzaj not really seen enough but not that impressed with what I've seen
Darmian looks to be a really good buy
Midfield looks pretty solid now
Rooney a complete waste of wages and a teamslot his only good contributions are away from where his actual role is I think they'd be more effective with Hernandez or Fellaini (for link up play) up top

In the interview Memphis so upset that he missed that chance, instead of being happy with scoring 2. Can tell he's got a good head on his shoulders, I'm really excited about him and Utd, haven't felt like that since Ronaldo!

Regardless of the manner, Fellani proved to be a useful sub in the sense that we got the result we wanted.

3-1

We still keep winning and improving game by game.

Forgetting the attackers, it's so good to see Darmian settling in quickly and doing so well.

I'm struggling to remember one moment other than the back heel where Rooney didn't give the ball away with some pathetic. Under hit pass or flick. His slow motion bus jog is also destroying our attacks, he doesn't create space quick enough for people to use.

Some of the muppets on FiveLive are painful - 'I think we need to improve a bit. Yeah midfield, up front and defence.' 'Okay and goalkeeper?' 'No, goalkeeper is fine'.

Had to turn off.

They're manager isn't doing his team any favours admitting that he doesn't think they'll beat utd on the second leg lol.
