Young hasn't been playing and managed to kick the ball to hernandez. From the centre of the goal he could have trapped it and headed it in. Like the header he missed just previously or the penalty he fell over
 
If Chicharito got the game time that Rooney has had then he'd be so much better than Rooney. Heck, play Young on the left Memphis on the right Rooney down the middle and Hernandes upfront; that is an attacking force I'd be scared of.

In what universe has Young not been playing? He's had so much more game time that Chicharito has in the past year

LOL that will never work. I should know since I tried it in fm2015.
 
BT Sport seem to have the worst pundits and co-commentators ever. Ferdinand and Scholes just sound like they are half asleep and don't want to be there at all. Michael Owen, well, we won't even go there!

Because he's not very good?

Edit: that's not quite fair, but he doesn't fit into modern formations. He can't play as one up top, as the only thing he does is run in behind. His hold up play and interplay with the midfield is non existent. He's a very good "last man" striker, but there is little space at the top level for them any more.

I've seem some crazy talk on this forum and this is right up there. Hernandez would be better than Rooney?

Happy with the performance last night, though it's worth remembering it's against a pretty average team with an injury crisis.

That said it was encouraging in many respects, the attack clicked well at various moments and thankfully Rooney has shown he's not entirely past it yet, took his goals well.

Great to be back in the Champions League, feels like we've been out of it for longer than we have!

Now I want to see this sort of score against a Premier League team - any team - as we don't look so good there yet.
 
Stekelenburg, Martina, Fonte, Caulker, Yoshida, Targett, Romeu, S. Davis, Ward-Prowse, Pellè, Rodriguez.

God awful defence and meh midfield, have to hope JWP puts in some decent deliveries for Pelle.
 
Very negative formation, missing Mane and Wanyama, crap looking defence still, even with 5 defenders and 2 defensive mids. Bye bye Europe.
