UEFA Champions & Europa League SF Football Thread ** spoilers ** [29/30th April 1/6/7/8 May 2025]

You've not got the movement around him this season. He's never going to be someone able to take the game on on his own, he needs to be in a functioning team, and you're a mess going forward this year
You can't blame his poor through balls, flicks and inability to have a shot on the team. He gives the ball away so much. He was our worst player in both the Real games.

Tie is still wide open. Merino will be back up top with partey back and that will allow rice to run forward more

Funny how everyone saying we dont have a chance etc etc.

Pretty sure we had no chance against madrid either :o

You back to saying everyone when last time around it was one person

PSG outplayed Arsenal.

And they didn't even look like they broke into a sweat.

All hanging on the tie in Paris now. Maybe Arsenal can figure out a better game plan?

Unlikely, but it's football so we will see!

We joke at times but they're a better version of Stoke. It's not just the corners but any free-kick within 20 yards of the half way line (within their half) is getting pumped forward.
@BaZ87 You can change your signature picture now?

I know there is the whole COVID League and that. But hey, we all played in it.

Congratulations on winning the Premiership.

Arsenal are still well in the game, uphill battle for them though.

Beating Real Madrid not quite the barometer it has been in recent years...

Not the worst result but I can't see Arsenal not conceding in Paris. Objectively the Madrid win was largely facilitated by two worldies from Rice free kicks and aside from set pieces the team looks a bit lost in the final third unless Saka gets it. I also think they lacked a bit of ambition to take a risk. Neither full back really got forward today and the general play was very predictable. It was a bit like watching Man United except Arsenal know how to press as a unit. Maybe Partey allows Rice to get forward a bit more next week but you have to expect more from Odegaard and Martinelli who were poor tonight.

Certainly not over but PSG aren't the chokers they were in previous years.

If anybody thinks VAR's killed football then they need to pop over and see AFTV's reaction to the disallowed goal. They celebrate the goal, realise it's offside but then somebody wrongly thought VAR allowed it and they celebrated again :D
Should be entertaining

I think Arsenal still have a great chance, PSG almost threw away a much bigger lead against Villa.

Sorry but can't see it myself, I think the tie is over.

Too many of Arsenal players like Martinelli and Trossard are looking distinctly average.

PSG have their best player/s still in great form towards the end of the season.

I'd love to be proven wrong.

I don’t see Arsenal getting through, can they score in France sure but PSG for first time in a long team play like an actual team hence there doing as well as they are.

PSG look far more dangerous in attack than Arsenal do
