I watch and read a lot about European football so tend to not judge on single performances like a lot tend to do here. It’s uncharacteristic.

I get that but hes pretty much single handedly knocked his team out of the CL. Sorry but those errors at this level isnt good enough.

I think if he hadn’t made those errors City would have capitalised anyway. Madrid have been terrible. Zidane still made them play out of the back when clearly they were struggling with the press.
Surely spells the end of the Modric and Kroos combo.

Didn't realise Modric was 34, Valverde has got to be starting ahead of him next season if he stays.

As for Varane, world class defender that's made a couple of mistakes.

Yes...but he did and the only City goals have come from his errors. If he doesnt gift them two goals the games completely different.

City have an excellent chance of winning the tournament now. Still think Bayern would cause them major problems though.

My main worry for City is they’re capable of having an absolute shocker every now and again, for example Norwich. No Aguero is a huge miss for the big games as well.

I think they’re equal favourites with Bayern though. It’ll be interesting to see if the betting line shifts towards Bayern after tonight, I know they’re 3 up but we’ve seen stranger things happen. Once they’re officially through they very well may become favourites in the bookies eyes.

Atletico gotta be a dark horse too. I certainly wouldn't call City favourites. It's wide open at the moment.
