UEFA Champions League/Europa League 10/11/12 March *** Spoilers ***

Ouch for CHelsea. Though, I think after extra time the whole away goals thing should go away. In this situation I'd far prefer to see penalties should it go that way. Not a big fan of away goals in general but let it be 90 mins a piece, away goals, then if it's even go to extra time with no away goals. Give it every chance to go to penalties.

I'd say less that PSG look brilliant, Chelsea just look dire.

This is the downside of the negative boring tactics, you take away the creativity of the players. The team started with two players who didn't play very much like CHelsea players, creative attacking players and Hazard linked up with Costa/Fabregas brilliantly. But more and more big games in that time, more and more asking those players to sit back, to not make the runs, to play the slow football and after a while the team looks less and less good going forwards. Chelsea have been getting worse over the past 3 months. They look half the team that played the first 3 months of the season.

Mourinho never seems to get that these overly negative tactics make players less good over time. Years and he really hasn't cottoned on to what is his biggest weakness as a manager. When he was almost fired at Real for being too defensive the team improved immeasurably after he was forced to give them more freedom to attack. They went from sitting back against Barca and getting thrashed to going all out attack and beating them consistently.

You gotta let players play, when you don't they all start looking like they have no idea what to do.
