Young has always been easy to expose for good players, people forget he’s really an attacker... and past it now anyway.
 
I don't think Ole has got it wrong. The injuries to Lingard and Martial were unfortunate and in the end they're just a better team than us right now. it's going to be a while before we're competing with the top teams in Europe again. Marquinhos has man marked Pogba well and Mbappe and Di Maria are just quality.
 
Getting a goal back would give us some hope for the second leg. As it is we have too many players in this team that are good enough for the PL most of the time but get found out far too easily against the top European teams. Young, Matic and Herrera simply aren't up to scratch.
 
Commenting that the PSG defenders are cleaning everything up that comes into the box. Truth is that we are just putting **** balls into the box. Compare the pin point accuracy of the Di Maria cross for Mbappe vs Youngs 15 crosses to no one.
 
This match puts in perspective the gulf between the best in Europe and the rest.
United exposed as a decent side with some young players with potential but too many positions where the players are not good enough at the top level.
Both Young and Shaw aren't good enough. I don't think either would start for another EPL club in the top 6. Matic is a player that never had a high enough level "best" to be past it and still remain credible. Sadly I also think Mata (top man and great pro) doesn't offer enough at this level, especially when your wing backs are so limiting. Sanchez just needs to be surgically removed from this squad before he completely sours the mood with his frustrated performances. Same issues as under Mourinho except Ole has managed to get Martial, Rsahford, Pogba all playing close to a potential.
 
Have to agree, against experienced sides in Europe you can't get away with subpar players in a few positions. Mata and Sanchez not exactly good reinforcements either.

Please we were the better side before lingard and martial went off injured. PSG haven't had a hard game since early December. This is the Gulf between these "Top" European clubs. Liverpool made PSG look average.
 
The man utd squad has a lot of players that don't fit in their system. In particular all the attackers eat each other's space and there is limited chemistry between them .

Midfield dynamism and distribution is also slow which doesn't complement the front three wanting fast direct attacks.
