UEFA Champions League/Europa League 12/13/14 March *** Spoilers ***

Drags them? People are making out as if Juve aren't/weren't already a very strong side that very nearly knocked Real out in the 1/4's last season.

Juve are a good team no doubt but are all mercs that have all had their day at other clubs. Average age must be in the 30's.

Well, 7-0 to city, not often you get a result like that in the last 16.

Well, solid performance from City. When they enjoy the right conditions and play their game with mood, everything is possible.

Now, everyone must be praying to avoid City next rounds :D

lol BT sports commentary nearly in tears, embarrassing.

Why? Because of Ronaldo or happy for City?

I was laughing at Schalke’s 10-2 aggregate score line before realising we’ve been done by that score line in recent years too :( #banterclub

They are also 14th in the BL so not having a good season. I bet any money City get an easy QF as well just like their cup run. I would put money on them getting Porto.

Eh? Mercs? Cancelo, Bonucci, Chiellini, Spinnazola, Pjanic, and to an extent Matuidi and Bernardeschi all made their names at Juve, and that's just from their line-up last night (not to mention the likes of Dybala).

Also, of their lineup last night, I'm pretty sure the only over 30s are the two centre backs, Matuidi, CR7, and Mandzukic? If anything they've refreshed their squad brilliantly in the last few years.

Liverpool were runners up last year? What is that meant to prove? Juve team that got to final 3 years ago was different to the one now and the players were a lot younger.
Because making out it would be Ronaldo 'dragging' them to the CL is nonsense, they have been consistent contenders.

That they've been pretty good?

Liverpool smacked about everyone they played until the final and didn't lose by much given how the game played out

Liverpool 11: Alisson, Trent, Matip, VVD, Robertson, Milner, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Mane, Firmino. Only real surprise is no Fabinho, who's been playing incredibly well of late.

Only rationale I can think of is that we want to press them higher than usual with our midfield and forwards, whereas Fab usually lies a little deeper. I'd still rather see him in, though.

Same. It's his default option and no matter how much he and they have been criticised for their performances this season he keeps picking them. Really disappointed tbh.

I’m finding it difficult to see how Liverpool win this with that midfield, Bayern need a stinker or Liverpool to have one of those champions league nights that they haven’t had away from home for a while.

Oh well nice to see us play that creative midfield again....

Klopp I just don't get how he doesn't see it doesn't work! :(

In regards to this midfield got us to final last season yes they did, however that was then and this season they have been consistently lacklustre when played together
