It wasn't so long ago that Firmino was chastised for his performances, but it wouldn't be too hard to make a case for him being our most effective forward. He's not had the plaudits of Salah this season for obvious reasons, but it wouldn't be such a stretch to say he's just as important.

I would possibly go so far as to say more important even. He is exceptional, for his link play, his solo play, his scoring, his assists, his defensive work. Incredible all rounder.

I was one of the people that chastised him. He could be godly one week and appalling the next and he always took a month or two to rediscover his form after injury.

Honestly didn't think it was worth keeping him after his first season but what a ridiculous turnaround. He always had a touch of class, now he's added consistency and what a player we've got on our hands.

Outstanding performance from us. There was a 10 minute spell after we went 2-0 up where we had a few chances to score the 3rd and overplayed and were looking a bit complacent but the second half performance was faultless. As Pigeon said, made up for Mane to get his hattrick - he's still been contributing with the odd goal or assist but he's not been 100% on it of late and that was probably summed up 30 seconds before his first goal where he had a great chance to put one on a plate for Wijnaldum but he made a poor decision and tried to pick out Salah.
