UEFA Champions League/Europa League 13/14/15 September *** Spoilers ***

Was certainly an epic goal he scored, cost them 5.5mil euro's this season aswell, Gotze looked very impressive, will be interesting to see how well he does. Like Wilshire he looks insanely comftable on the ball, great vision.

I really don't know enough about Dortmund, I know they sold Sahin to Real, he's a attacking central mid who gets a bunch of assists, so generally the playmaker, so they are adapting to losing a Cesc type player? have they sold any strikers, because they looked insanely panicky when they got in good positions to score.

Either way, Arsenal were very lucky to get a point, if we keep playing like we have this season, even ignoring the 8-2, I can't even think how badly we might end up doing. We need to improve, fast. Can't help but think that, with essentially no quality central midfield players except maybe Arteta, that we'd be FAR FAR better off playing a second striker than an extra empty shell in central midfield. Having an extra striker would also give our wingers, and Arteta a heck of a lot more passing options upfront. One more utterly pointless idiot playing in midfield is simply not as useful as a 2nd quality player upfront.

How have Utd looked since ditching basically the entire midfield trio and playing 2 strikers in every game, everyone in the team looks better and offensively they are ripping teams apart, and due to how much they are attacking, defence is under less pressure. Yet again Wenger's bought almost all, all out attacking type players, Benny, Gervinho, Santos, they are all built for all out attack teams. If Wenger insists on play 4-5-1, why the hell didn't we save money on Santos, Gervinho, Park, and buy M'villa and Diarra, if you're going to play defensively and win games on defence, buy the players you need.

Utd fans especially have been complaining about lack of central mid buying, but they should now see its because they have dropped a central mid player, so need less there. They wanted to go more attacking, so bought more attacking players, how long can we buy players built for 4-4-2 and all out attack, and play a crap 4-5-1, force players out of position, and lumber them with crap like Song in the middle.

Lets wait and see if we stick with this first. I still think he'll go more defensive eventually.

Or maybe they turned up there to fight the Utd fans that were posing as City fans on Napoli ultras websites, trying to incite trouble.

Not the smartest bunch those United fans are they? a club with a history of violence .. lets pretend to be City fans, go and insult them on their own forum, and I'm 100% sure theres no chance they will ever find out it was really us .. cough

All sides have idiot supporters. Unfortunately there's a group of Utd fans that have close ties to Napoli's ultras, as Liverpool fans found out last season. If I was a City fan, I certainly wouldn't be going to the away game against Napoli.

I was hoping ITV would show the City game as I have a feeling it will be far more exciting. Oh well, one game on the TV, one on the computer and Grand Designs on my iPhone (new series woot!).

BREAKING TEAM NEWS: Manchester United make eight changes from the side which thumped Bolton 5-0 at the weekend. Anders Lindegaard is in goal with Wayne Rooney up front on his own.

8 changes! I think Man U will get caught out a bit today.

Benfica: Artur Moraes, Maxi Pereira, Luisao, Garay, Emerson, Amorim, Javi Garcia, Witsel, Aimar, Cardozo, Gaitan.

Subs: Eduardo, Bruno Cesar, Nolito, Machado, Matic, Saviola, Jardel.

Man Utd: Lindegaard, Fabio Da Silva, Evans, Smalling, Evra, Fletcher, Carrick, Giggs, Valencia, Rooney, Park.

Subs: De Gea, Jones, Owen, Anderson, Berbatov, Hernandez, Nani.

Man City: Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Lescott, Kolarov, Toure Yaya, Barry, Silva, Aguero, Nasri, Dzeko.

Subs: Pantilimon, Richards, Johnson, Savic, Clichy, Toure, Tevez.

Napoli: De Sanctis, Campagnaro, Cannavaro, Aronica, Maggio, Inler, Gargano, Zuniga, Hamsik, Lavezzi, Cavani.

Subs: Rosati, Fideleff, Dossena, Santana, Dzemaili, Fernandez, Pandev.

*waits for Biz.Kid09 to moan about a 2nd string team*

I guess thats 4-5 -1 / 4 - 3- 3 with potential for Giggs to push up a little (maybe even Fletcher as well) to support Rooney

Giving a lot of people game time that havent played at all (or virtually nothing) this season

No Berbatov... WHY. :(

Fergie might actually want to score a few goals away from home in a formation that doesnt naturally work for Berba (less so than Rooney) and there is also natural pace in the side which might be necessary, which Berba would cancel out

Irrespective of how the game goes I would be surprised if he didnt get at least 20- 30 minutes though

Why the hell is Rooney playing.

Probably toughest game of the group (maybe not journey wise) of course you pick your top striker who is in hot form. Chicharito wouldnt play alone up front, Owen is unlikely to last a full game (or likely to play solo up front), and my reasoning for Berba is above (for right or wrong)
