3-1 Porto, Guardiola recent trend of losing big in the CL appears to be continuing for a third year. I think last year was the semi's against Real, year before was Barca getting stonked by a non Guardiola Bayern, maybe also semi finals.

Hmm, yeah, forgot he had a year off, though, was still quite obviously his team/style. Effectively his "style" seemed to get found out in Europe, first Barca(though he wasn't there) then Bayern went from thrashing that style massively to being managed by Guardiola and playing that style which got them thrashed. You could also say Real played the counter attacking and more direct attack that Bayern had used against Barca the year before.

I'd say again that Porto's more direct style and ability to contain Bayern beat that style quite easily.

Barca still play a lot of possession football but pretty much everyone agrees that Barca play more direct more often in their games and have been much better as a result. Moving away from the Guardiola style which persisted till pretty much this season.

Just saw the highlights of the psg v barca game and still can't believe £50mil was paid for sideshow bob.

Can't believe Guardiola hasn't learnt from last season. His tactics are extremely predictable now. Bayern were better before he took over sigh.
