UEFA Champions League/Europa League 16/17/18 August *** Spoilers ***

rangers and celtic fans make me laugh when they say they could be competitive in the prem. one of them might avoid the drop for one season but when the inevatible happens, where they going to go then? cos the scottish league sure as hell wont have them back!

lol Hearts, is there any point in them going to White Heart Lane?

Fulham won 3-0 by the way, brilliant for them!

Sorry to hear about your uncle. Here's hoping Fulham have a good run of results.

Come on Fulham! :)

Thanks guys, he's happy today now at least even though he's been through some of the worst pain imaginable this week but he's fighting i really hate cancer so much as it nearly claimed my father too.(my uncle has enlarged liver, cancer in spine which is swelling up, cancer in pancreas, cancer on lungs, liquid in lungs and a huge bump on his hip sorry to ramble on about it but nice to see good community here :) )

I feel happier too for him due to the club he absolutely loves winning.

Nice score spurs too lol.

All this talk about Scottish team this, Scottish teams that. When you put it into perspective, the price of that Spurs side would probably be way more than enough to buy every single player in the SPL and divisons 1 to 3. The gulf is huge between Up here and down south so I dunno why some of you are so surprised.

Largely because some Scottish sides believe they're good enough to be in the Premier League...

I'm sure if you handed Celtic and Rangers about 40 million on top of their current budget they'd fancy their chances of staying in the Prem. They'll never win it but I seriously doubt they'd be relegated.

Makes it 16 wins and 4 draws at home for Fulham in Europe, not lost

Good result for Fulham, wasn't sure how good Dnipro were going to be, and we chose today to rest a few players, Briggs is still impressing and Kasami looks a great prospect already.

40 million doesn't make teams that are already better than rangers and Celtic any more likely to stay on the league why would they be any different?

Rangers and Celtic would require massive investment before they kicked off on the epl, not just in transfer fees but a 4 to 5 times increase in weekly wage bill. They are both based in a poor area with not a great deal of scope to raise ticket prices , they have literally nothing going for them,.

Going from facing no competition to playing 38 games a season where every single team you play against is better than you in every way would be quite a culture shock.

lol @ english fans thinking hearts are even near the quality of rangers or celtic

hearts finished in 3rd place and were like 30 points behind 2nd

there is a huge gulf in quality between the top 2 and the rest, but the gap has been getting smaller. if celtic and rangers both joined the EPL, im pretty sure they could compete with the likes of Fulham, Everton, Villa, Sunderland, etc.

it might take them a few years to get from 15th to 10th, but i reckon Celtic with the size of their stadium, could quite easily get into the top 8 within 10 years.

the amount of tv money, sponsorship, shirt deals you get are insane compared to what scottish teams get.

scottish teams get £1 million a year from sky sports lol
