Yep. The lack of closing players down is all too familiar too. We'd concede so many less goals if we actually put as much effort into getting the ball back as we do trying to walk it into the net.
 
**** me looking at the half time highlights....unbelievable that our defence hasnt conceded a couple of goals...wow just wow...if Wenger thinks this sort of defence is going to win us trophies then he needs his head and eyes tested:p

As said, he's developed a rock-star complex where he thinks he has to be part of attacks and involved in build up play. It costs us goals all the time. Buying an actual DM who is happy to sit back, break up play and do his job is probably a more important purchase than a CB IMO, because half the goals we concede are cheap goals on the counter which are down to the players in front of the defenders giving the ball away cheaply, or just the CBs playing a stupidly high line. Even Barca don't have Puyol and Pique sitting waiting to get sprung by balls over the top.

Also Djourou is on now, Gibbs off and Verm out wide. We're screwed.
