UEFA Champions League/Europa League 17/18/19 Sept *** Spoilers ***

"clear chances to score" :D
Twice they had clear runs on goal, the first time their attacker wasted the shot and the 2nd time they had a 3 on 1 and they delayed the pass and ran offside when the other option would have been clear through. For any half decent side, and yes I know that excludes both Utd and Astana, those were clear chances to score.

Just seen that Wolves lost at home to Sporting Braga. The Europa is a plague on any team that doesn't have the resources to be top 6, I fully expect Wolves to scrape to safety if they're in the Europa league past the group stage.

Seriously though, how many times are we going to see upper mid-table teams struggle when they get into Europe, before one of them realises they need a much better and bigger squad to compete on both fronts. Burnley, Swansea, Everton, Southhampton have all performed equally bad when they've had a slice of European football.
