Mourihno won a power struggle and got that director fella sacked, forget the name, who was a big part of Madrid's dodgy transfer and managerial policy, and in doing so got way more autonomy to run the team and less of the choppy choppy.

Madrid looking like they have in the league lately - boss games but can't score for toffee.

Between Alonso, Khedira and Essien you don't have much in the way of creative attacking threat down the middle. In fact that's probably the worst combination of midfielders Madrid could play. Weird. Guess they'll mix things up 2nd half as City start tiring.

other than various flashes (mostly real shooting on site) this has not been anywhere near as good as i thought it would be. so far.

really hope modric gets a game in the second half.

Between him and Benzema they miss far, far too many good chances. The score sheet in most matches makes them look lethal but if you get a dozen chances a game and put one away then you look like a goal a game striker lol. Occasionally their misses prove super costly, but from what we've seen of City so far I imagine they're not in too much danger of going behind.

Miss a Poacher type with the ability to offload to Ronaldo at times. Neither of them is that.
