UEFA Champions League/Europa League 21/22/23 February *** Spoilers ***

One thing I did want to mention is that I saw nothing of note from Eriksen last week that suggested he'd be good enough for a top side, tonight was a different story. He'd easily replace Young in our side. Goes without saying I hope Young turns it around but never before have I wanted us to get shot of a genuine first team player so soon after signing them, I'd even drive to Manchester to take him to his new club myself :p

Most of the team were pretty invisible , so the result isnt that much of a surprise.

Park should never be used as a CM and Young, Nani were also pretty invsible for the most part, Cleverley did what he could but it showed how long he had been out for

Have to admit to laughing that the second goal appeared to go in off De Gea's shoulder, no less than Ajax deserved but Utd should never have let them in the game after so many decent chances in the 1st half

Eriksen is awesome, thought he was good last week too despite being out of position. Going to be a very special player.

I'm still undecided, it hits his arm but Park was pushing him from behind as well...could go either way.

while this is true, I felt if it was at the other end, ref would have blown for a free kick for handball (he seemed to blow up for anything minute against Utd in reasonable positions, and when Ajax was in good positions and did similar things ref missed them)

Ajax were much better over all last night, but would have been criminal if they had gone through over the tie

I thought Ajax did quite well over the two legs, created lots of good chances and forced some really good saves. Bit harsh to say it'd be criminal for them to have progressed, I thought they deserved better than a 2 - 0 loss in the first leg, and they deserved their win last night

Which of the twins did that shameful dive?

If you mean that one it was Rafael :p

I agree, 2-0 probably flattered us in the first leg and they deserved their win last night. Couldn't of had any arguments had they progressed over the two legs. Obviously though last nights game would have been a lot different had Fergie picked a stronger side but then that's been our problem in Europe full stop this season - underestimating our opponents. Not so long ago Fergie would use league games to rest players for Europe, seems it's the other way around now.
