UEFA Champions League/Europa League 22/23/24 Feb *** Spoilers ***

I was dreading this game, you knew half the squad would get injured. Hate Stoke, every time they go flying into a tackle you winch, expecting something dreadful to happen. That said one of the positives to take from this game is that their bully-boy tactics haven't really worked. We've been dreadful going forward since Cesc went off, keeping Stoke from having the ball pretty well most of the time but look clueless attacking. Probably thinking about the weekend, although they have parked the bus pretty well.

I went with starts because they give a MUCH better impression, Walcott has played 1079 minutes in the league, with a quite shockingly impressive record for a flukey little git. Bendtner has played 258 minutes, or less than a quarter compared to Theo.

11 starts 7 sub, vs 1 start 8 sub appearances in the league, Bendtner has provided goal threat, an assist or a key pass in every game, defensive strength at set pieces, assists, ability to hold up the ball.

Walcott has essentially been "first team" this season, Bendtner has most certainly not been, Walcott has pace and should play well on the wing, Bendtner has no pace and is consistantly played completely out of position. Infact Bendtner is often switched to left wing while Theo is rarely pushed out left.

Minutes wise frankly Theo has had 4 times the minutes, yet I'll let you do the math, whats bigger 11 goals, or 6 x 4? Likewise do you think he'd get more goals and assists when on the pitch for more than 8 minutes at a time at the end of a dead game?

EDIT- I should point out your stats are wrong, Theo's played in 30 games Bendtner 21, and Bendtner has AT LEAST 5 assists, 6 after tonight.

Gloves are so last year. Pah! Chamakh is busy rocking the snood and short sleeves combo here. :cool:
 
They are clever Stoke. Very clever.

Heavy tackles but they certainly are adept at making the most out of things....for such big lads that is..
