UEFA Champions League/Europa League 23/24/25 October *** Spoilers ***

OI! I went to Coventry away twice last season :p

Coventry at home on a Tuesday night would be loads more fun than sitting about watching champions league I don't care much about (and loosing every Saturday/Sunday game).

I miss lower league :(

Well I'm sure we'll screw it up tonight - away at Doncaster on Saturday we had 86% possession in the first half... and then conceded twice in the last 15 minutes to lose. I'm not sure how football teams do that, or go in at half time to a lacklustre WHU and concede four times in the second half!? did you go?

Anyway, I'm not sure I'm allowed to talk about non-European football in this thread... So I should probably join in with the self-induglent inane EPL style of questions that seem to frequent this forum and ask something particularly relevant like:

I wonder what percentage of RVPs backpasses tonight will be hit with the outside of his left boot, compared to the instep of his right boot...? :D

lol, perfect way to end that little bit of discussion.

killswitch, did you see how Schalke beat Dortmund on the weekend? They can be ruthless at times with Huntelaar up front. Dortmund were playing a 3 at the back however.

When Schalke went 1 up I watched for about 15 minutes after and then switched it off. I was watching it in Russian and that language is so horrible to listen to for any prolonged period of time. :p

86% in the first half  I saw the score at half time and thought it could be a sign of two teams getting their first away wins this season...

I went, I thought we were the better team the first half, Andy Carroll goes down so easily for a man convicted of assault... We had the same thing, all the possession, just not enough testing chances and an enormous amount of dithering at the back (plus playing an overweight/unfit Boruc didn't help). It seems the only way to win is to play nonsense, bitty percentage football which is horrible to watch (West Ham "Fat Samm-ed" us as their best passing move managed 5 whole passes).

HAHA! Todays inane question should be about how many touches of the ball Messi gets whilst playing with his back to goal as RVP will be our injured with a strained jaw muscle from chewing tough steak... :p

Chelsea: Cech, Ivanovic, D Luiz, Terry (c), Cole; Mikel, Lampard; Ramires, Oscar, Mata; Torres

Subs: Turnbull, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Bertrand, Romeu, Hazard, Sturridge.

Man Utd XI:

de Gea

Rafael
Carrick
Evans
Buttner

Cleverley
Fletcher
Kagawa

Rooney
Hernandez
van Persie

SUBS: Johnstone, Ferdinand, Anderson, Nani, Giggs, Young, Welbeck.

Strong team, I'd have rather see Nani in place of Kagawa as we've shifted him out wide but then I'd probably like to see Kagawa in the hole where we are playing a formation that actually goes through that player, rather than playing him in the hole with 2 wingers and just going right to the wingers.

hmm I wonder why Valencia isnt even on the bench, that might be a little worrying for Sunday....

Otherwise, its a strong team - looks like Lindegard is definitely injured then (hopefully not for too long)

Was Braga one of the teams United had last year? If so maybe won't be a dull win for the two english clubs like I thought :p

Or was Braga the ones who knocked us out in a ****** european game under kenny

Xavi and Scott Brown... tiny bit of a difference in footballing style between the two captains!
