UEFA Champions League/Europa League 27/28/29 September *** Spoilers ***

Is it right that Tevez refused to play?

*edit*

Asked that before seeing the bit above, how odd. That whole touchline saga seemed madness.

Lets be honest, you'd be absolutely fuming if he played the strongest 11 and got more injuries :p.

Utd put out a team that should have easily got the result, but because of a **** defence and poor errors, they didn't.

Well perhaps we just shouldn't play Nani at all in case he gets injured.

I'd rather be secure at the top of the group than down in 3rd, we've been fortunate in recent years grinding out 1-0 wins but it's not working so far this year in Europe.

And this has to be the final sign that Fergie has to give up on one striker, used it twice now and it's led to two really bad performances.

De Gea played well tonight though, didn't have a chance with any of the goals (in fact for the first he denied Streller brilliantly) Depleted defence has looked poor though.

Anderson and Carrick were woeful, Anderson I haven't rated all season, he's looked "good" by way of being in a great team winning well, when the good players don't start around him and the team rests on him playing well, theres nothing, awful against Chelsea, awful tonight. Carrick, no idea how he ever got to Utd, Park, lol, Valencia was rubbish offensively and defensively, tap in header from a fantastic cross early on, and conceding a stupid penalty which was I think barely if at all Jones's fault as he had to kick it and it was on the stretch.

Rio, Evra, Fabio looked very dodgey, and with Anderson infront and giving away the ball a lot in general with the midfield pair offering almost no defensive cover they were asking for trouble.

You need more than one player playing well in Young, to actually build attacks and hold up the ball, having a go at Berbatov when he comes on LONG after the game has swung in Basel's favour, when the whole team is playing crap and complaining because he didn't turn it around all on his own is daft.

City, just lol, mostly because they HAD the players to actually beat Bayern but continue to play utter tripe like Barry, and against that good a team playing lazy/selfish/small/fouling/no workrate Silva and Nasri was just asking to be smashed to pieces. They are both good weather players, they won't dominate games, they won't defend, they won't work hard and they won't help in tough games like tonight. Midfield with Tevez on one wing, Aguero on the other, De Jong/Yaya in the middle and probably a more creative player infront of those two would be the way to go. Nasri/Barry shouldn't be anywhere near a game like this, Milner, due to work rate, tackling and positional awareness maybe.

Situation on the bench in the second half, the subs made, the arguements, laughable really.

Calm down dear - that team should have EASILY won that game. Fergie was right to rest Nani, he has a responsibility to keep players fit. The only reason Utd didn't win was because of mistakes by Rio/Jones, and they were punished for it. Utd REALLY need Vidic back though..or at least Smalling? Still don't rate Carrick/Ando together, didn't even realise Carrick was on :/

Tevez, you little ****. Disgraceful attitude. Even Balotelli would at least warm up.

Real lesson taught tonight, all is not lost. Had we lost to Napoli it would be but we have a home game next and NDJ will be back in as well as Balotelli?

Keep in mind you have no idea what actually happened, are you sure Tevez wasn't argueing because Mancini wanted to keep it at 2-0 while Dzeko, Zabaleta and Tevez all wanted to go for the win? I mean, if Mancini absolutely insisted on going for the draw/win, would he take Dzeko off, for De Jong? Would he not put Tevez on for him and shouldn't he have known by then he wasn't going to warm up and then decide to keep Dzeko on?

I can see either being true, a daft Sky reported watching from a distance I wouldn't trust for an accurate report on what happened. Certainly interesting though.
