UEFA Champions League/Europa League 30/1/2 April/May *** Spoilers ***

Is it something that real do? I mean benzema, higuain, ozil, dimaria etc, all we're the talk of football at various points as being the next big think etc.

But none of them seem to have ever gone on to the next level once they went to Madrid.

They're all still very good players but it's the same problem the likes of Fabregas and Sanchez have at Barcelona when you're in a side with the likes of Ronaldo, Xavi, Iniesta & Messi it's going to be hard not to look (for want of a better phrase) out of their depth when they're playing with those type of players

It just goes to prove just how big a gap there is between the likes of Messi, Ronaldo and co and 'the rest'

I never really looked abit like that (or the fabregas or sanchez situation) I suspect they'd all do very well in another league, although ozil looks such a lazy ******

Just finished watching the game, bizarre one really, Real could have had 3 or 4 inside 25 minutes when Dortmund were playing it like a normal open game of football. Then they dropped deep and just left Reus and Lewan up front and never looked remotely worried. Dortmund could (and should) have at least scored two as well.

How have Dortmund done in their games vs Bayern this season?

Drew 1-1 in December with the return fixture/Champions League Final dress rehearsal this weekend ;)

What an awesome 2nd leg, Real on the attack right from the word go and how in gods name Borussia didnt concede a 3rd is beyond me...Had Real scored in the first half then i think they would have won it somehow...luckily for Real, Dortmund werent all that great in front of the net when they had a few chances to score themselves. Losing Gotze though made a difference to Dortmund, they didnt have much control of the middle in the first half and definitely in the second it was all Real.

Anyhow looking forward to Barca's game, they dont have a chance in hell scoring 5 goals past Bayern, Bayern probably learnt their lesson against Arsenal when we beat them but still went out over the 2 legs. Id be surprised of Barca manage to score more than 2.

But looking likely to be an all german final though.

Congrats to Borussia for managing to hang on...really want Klopp to come and manage Arsenal...think hes a brilliant manager and has this infectious nature about him.

Well theres a rumour Wenger is going to PSG so...

Thought Ramos should have gone for the amount of elbowing he did in Lewandowski's face, so to see his smug face at the end miserable made me laugh.

That was a technically interesting but very boring game at the end of it (apart from the last 5 minutes) - and even then BD were unlucky not to score themselves, good luck to them in the final.

RM were pretty dreadful over all - even if they should have scored a couple in the first 15 minutes or so, Higuain reminds me of Welbeck lol

Well its a rumour so who knows, Wenger is out of contract at the end of next season and either he will sign another contract or perhaps move up in Arsenal, leaving the door open for a new manager to come in and work his magic.

As for tonight?? i really cant see Barca getting a result and getting through to the final. Mainly because they didnt score an away goal in the first leg so that puts them under immense pressure tonight. They might win the game but i honestly cannot see them putting 5 or more past Bayern but as its football...anything can and could happen. But unlike Real, who had a real chance going through. Defensively they are a mess and the only reason why they are running away with the La Liga is due to Reals start to the season. So i can see Bayern very well putting a goal or 2 past Barca.

Messi is on the bench tonight. That's that then.

Barca are painful to watch even with him at the moment. They are so slow and ponderous, there is no zip about their passing, no impetus, they just hold possession for possession's sake.
