UEFA Champions League/Europa League 5/6/7 April *** Spoilers ***

we got spuds in Saturday. What do we think ? Euro hang over and a disappointing 0-0 or a rejuvenated spurs wanting to put right what happend at Madrid to roll over stoke?

I was catching up with this thread, saw people were talking about age and knew I'd get a mention :o

There's plenty of people younger than me around here now so can you leave me alone from now on please G|mp.

Awww you make that sound like it's unwanted attention Barry!?

I do leave you alone anyway!

I think they'll absolutely pump you tbh now all their eggs are in the PL basket.

im also thinking that.

Plus we have an eye on our semi final FA cup match the week after. We dont want any more injuries and im sure some 50/50 tackles the stoke players will have a bit of doubt as they will not want to risk getting injured and miss going to wembely

I'm still stunned by the Inter game, for them to lose 5 goals at home is unheard of. They didnt play badly like when they played Milan but Leonardo seems to be the complete opposite to Mourihno and just set out to attack, which is gonna bite back at you in Europe. I'm starting to think Rafa shouldnt have been sacked. At least he could have come up with a much solid approach to the game. I still think his a decent coach in europe, though others on here will disagree with me. They now have to score 4 without conceding at Gelsenkirchen to get to the semis. By the way how good was Stankovic goal !!!!

Who ever asked about chances against spurs at weekend they have never won a game after the champs league have they?

Spurs need a new striker so badly none of them are up to scratch. Defoe scored other week for first time in 12 months in the league :s

Crouch is so dire hope he is left out of the England team for good. England get blasted for playing long ball yet its sours only tactic at times, he's not even good in the air!

For the first goal why was jenas meant to be marking ade? He is knee high to a flea.

I think Chelsea will beat united over the two legs and I feel a possible upset by shaktar. They have beat Barcelona at nou camp and haven't lost at home for 2 years.

Still thunk Chelsea may win the champions league this year.

Personally i was calling Crouch all the names under the sun when got sent off, but then i remembered his goal against Milan had put us in this position

They've won several games after the champs league, lost several, drawn several. Biggish wins against Liverpool, draw against Chelsea, lost to Blackpool. Its not a "good" record but not particularly bad either.

However Stoke are the second worst away team in the league, only Wolves are worse Would be surprising if Stoke win to be honest, quick look says they've only scored 12 goals in 15 games away, and they haven't scored in their last 5 away games at all.

I do wonder, slightly, if VDV won't start getting frustrated, with how bad Spurs were, with having to play with Crouch, with being subbed at half time when he's shown time and time again how angry he gets at being subbed every game anyway. I'm wondering if, and when, VDV will just start laying into the team, complaining and essentially starting to push his way out of Spurs to another CL club for next season.

He wont stay with no champions league, its the only reason he is there.

Playing in the CL, then not qualifying the next year isnt just bad in money terms, but in terms of playing staff as well, you have it to wave in the faces of prospective signings when you approach them, its all you have in spurs case to tempt players like VDV, because they are not competative in the league, they dont exactly tear the domestic cups up either, so CL is all you have to offer.
When thats gone, what have they got left?
Playing for sometimes being the best of the rest and living in london.

Thats it.
