UEFA Champions League/Europa League 9/10/11 April *** Spoilers ***

This tie isn't over. Barca have looked incredibly fragile at the back when they've come under any pressure but fortunately for them Utd had zero quality in the final third today.
Going back to people saying there was no replacement for Keane, there's never been a proper replacement for Scholes, and then to some extent Carrick in that regard.
And that's despite having over £200m's worth of central midfielders in this squad.

Thought we did pretty well on the whole, the more dominant side for notable periods of the game.

All that said, the final ball has been woeful and most of the play in the attacking third has been very poor.
Think it shows up Rashford is still about 5-10% off being the main man in my opinion. Need a replacement for Lukaku in the summer that will bring clinical finishes.

That was like watching the man utd teams during the end of fergies era against Barca. Hyper direct, no guile or creativity and pretty toothless. They didn't look like scoring

Well, all football fans can see that there's no sense at all in Utds transfer policy. It was hit and miss under Fergie, but since he's gone it's been more miss.

I think United can take some positives from tonight. There have been plenty of times this season in Europe where thy were massively outclassed and despite the threat of that tonight they have grafted to a respectable result. There will be a few players who gained a lot from the experience. McTominay has had a really good game for such a young kid. He really grew into the game and at no point was I wishing Matic was on. Exposed by the fact that at this level our experienced players like Young and Lukaku just aren't good enough but nothing we didn't already know.

Did better than expected. Barca were sub-par but we contained them pretty well all things considered.

As usual Barca get the rub of the green but that’s to be expected.

Rashford wasted any half chances we had and should have done much better. That’s what worries me about Lukaku and Rashford. Both miss far too many chances.

Do you not think that conceding a perfectly good goal, which the officials tried to rule out, and not having a single shot on target had anything to do with the outcome of the game?

if the ref did his job and sent off biscuits we would have created more

also we should have gotten a pen for a clear handball by biscuits himself

so you admit it was a handball (taken the bait)
Yes but even you're going to struggle to claim a penalty for a handball 5 yards outside the area.

And for what it's worth, the ref was pretty rubbish but he gave as much against Barca as he did Utd. He let Busquets off with one early challenge and let Young off for one too, he then followed that up with some incredibly harsh yellows for either side.

it wasn't a pen that was bait, nope the ref favored Barca look alba headbutting young and getting nothing

Don't think it was too bad a result for utd, thought they would get battered. Though they created nothing other than half chances. Gonna be tough second leg.

90 minutes and not 1 shot on target. That's awful.

Who's our worst crosser of the ball? Young. So why do we keep giving him the ball to cross,?

Playing Dalot on the left was a huge tactical flaw, should have been on the right as he can actually cross a ball, instead of young...
