UEFA Champions League/Europa League ** Spoilers ** [27/28/29 November 2018]

Pathetic all round from both teams and the referee and I think that's us out.

Milner was the only player that looked half decent, Robertson defended very well but offered little in attack and the rest of the team were bad to awful with Firmino being the worst.

PSG still deserved the win, regardless of other factors winning sides will find a way and Liverpool did nothing of note. They need a massive shakeup Champions League wise if they want to beat Napoli even if it is at home.

Not out yet, if they can get some confidence from the 3 games before Napoli and go into it with good form they'll be able to get the win they require.
I think we'll struggle to score 2 against Napoli and I think we'll concede at least 1 :(

I'd drop all three midfielders and start Fabinho, Keita and Shaqiri and just attack like we did last season but I don't think we will and we'll go out in a boring draw or a loss.

Improved defensively 2nd half but PSG showed their experience and killed the game, wasting time at every opportunity. IINM we now need either a 1-0 win or a win by 2 clear goals to go through - we should have made it easier for ourselves but if we play close to our best we should have too much for Napoli.
We have defended better this season over all but looks to come at a massive cost cause now we don't score anything
At this stage last season we've actually scored 1 more goal this season than last season in the League. We've not scored as many in the CL but we did have a far easier group last year and picked up a couple of cricket scores vs Maribor.

I find that very surprising, we just don't seem right this season in regards to chemistry and creativity at all

As above, we scored bucket loads in the CL but that was vs Maribor and Spartak (16 in 4 games?). In the league we were far from the fluid attacking side in the first half of the season that we were in the 2nd half of last season.

Yea Liverpool took a while to hit their fluidity last season, especially Salah, he missed many sitters before he started scoring for fun!

Astana vs Dynamo Kiev has the draw at odds of 2.5 which is basically unheard of outside of lower league Italian matches 10 years ago. Just looks dodgy. I get the fact that with the situation in the group a draw almost guarentees them both a route to the next round but not quite because if Rennes win both their remaining games they could theoretically finish above Astana if they win by more than two goals.

I am not sure what is the case? a) English clubs are not good enough or b) Our league is the most difficult in Europe so fatigue kicks in. To be honest all 4 teams should be qualifying with ease in the Champions league regardless of the group.

Erm no why with ease? UK clubs don't have some right to say we should do.

Spurs ain't better than barca. Why should they expect to qualify over them?

Barca, Madrid, dortmund, bayern are miles ahead of us, and the other UK clubs in champions league.

PSG whilst drama queen's have individuals who can turn any one over.

UK clubs struggle in Europe as its where all the top teams are.

I'd get your point in europa league as the initial group stage you face pub league teams until you meet latter stages

The champions league is all the best clubs in Europe who play different styles of football to us and the referees officiate in a different style to the PL. Diving and play acting is rewarded far more on the continent.

There are limited games in the CL and you are playing good teams who on their day are capable of beating anyone. To win in 3 years in a row is an amazing achievement by RM but they had huge slices of luck on their way there as any team needs to win the CL.

Pretty sure that last time we needed to win 1-0 or by two clear goals in the group stage was against Olympiakos at the end of 2004, and we all remember how that ended!

Hope you didn’t have much on it.

Not as dodgy as you thought.
