We have a really good RB in Baba....i can't understand why he doesn't play. Branislav did OK, but his crosses were dire and he's had enough chances. Baba cost us £14m rising to £22m...he's not just a makeweight

Everyone else was OK, it's mainly Cahill and Ivanovic not being the rocks / leaders they should be. Begovic did quite well, but then i guess he did get beaten at his near post.

Play Baba and i was surprised we didn't get a CB this summer considering we shipped Kalas and Christensen out yet again rather than keep them in the quad.

Arsenal were a little lucky that ospina got his hands to that ball as he scrabbled it out of the goal because gibbs was inches away from handballing it and would have been sent off for sure.
 
English football is no worse than continental football, daft to suggest that. The difference is pretty much every other major European league has a couple of good teams who can take it easy and win their leagues with little to no effort. This allows them to focus all their energies on Europe. The EPL with the increasing money means pretty much every team is good, EPL failure is unimaginable so every single match is a complete ding dong battle and teams need to give 100%, 100% in a play style that is fundamentally different from European football, no wonder we are ill prepared and get beat.

Still funny though watching "great" teams get beat by some average opposition.

At this rate we deserve to lose our 4th spot. English teams just don't seem to be able to perform in Europe.

We will see tomorrow if it's going to be a white wash over all the clubs. Hopefully United will be the odd ones out!
