** Uefa Champions League, Semi-final ** *spoilers*

Bets for the CL this week:

Draw 0-0 (Correct Score) Barcelona v Chelsea 12/1 £5.00
Fabregas, C. (1st Goalscorer) Man United v Arsenal Each Way 16/1 £5.00

I usually spread my bets like £1-2 on center halves and such (Vidic has made me some nice money this year) but I'm going for bigger wins this week with my tenner :p
 
Unconfirmed reports that Wes Brown may be fit enough to start against Arsenal (should be better than OShea at least)

IF Utd can play with the tempo of the 2nd half on Saturday, I cant see anyone living with us - but our defence has to be rock solid

Arsenal are more than capable of punishing us if the wrong tempo / selection is played

Scored the most goals this CL season (29). Their average of 2.90 goals per match is the equal highest ever in a CL season with Olympique Lyon (2004-05).

I agree Chelski have a good defence, however they're coming up against the best and highest scoring team in European football.

While I do take into account the "Essien" effect and that Barcelona do enjoy a lot of possesion, they're playing at home they will feel comfortable. Chelski ( I think ) will turn up, defend like kings and try to play the long ball / counter attacking football. Chelski could try being physical, which I think might suit Barcelona, who would just pass round them, or try and not give away silly free kicks / corners. I feel sorry for the Chelski defence, I do, playing against an in form Barcelona in Barcelona :(

Barcelona have only conceded 6 more goals then Chelski in their domestic League, make of this what you will. It's a fact, Barcelona are defensivly good if they've only conceded 6 more goals then the Russians. Barcelona have scored 94 goals domesticly aswell, compared to Chelski's 56.

I'm not "anti" Chelski, I would love them to prove me wrong.
I just think Barcelona are in world class form, and probably the best team in the world right now.

I'm really excited about the game as a netural :)

*and If any ITV commentator / Pundit claims Cech to be the best goalkeeper in the world. I'll stab myself. Idiots.

Im hopeful it will be a match winning goal when it happens but the CL Final might be a little too much to ask for his first goal in open play lol

This goal will be the greatest goal ever scored, will probably cause some kind of worm hole, and will end the world. :p:cool:

aye i agree. hes a quality youngster. Pred >Nani ofc.

plus theres that i dont think carrick is doing too well in thier this season and i much prefer to see anderson who is young still learning but has a real ability to control a game with the more experience he gets, hes got a physical strength and a good pass on him. and like Tummy said, hes got to score soon.

Pred is a outstanding young player.

He needs to start more games, Give him a more defensive midfielder to play with so Pred can go forward and exploit space, use his ability on the ball.

I'd like to see him play more often, I'd put him as our 2/3 choice midfielder.
Behind Carrick / Fletchaldinho.
Paul Scholes / Giggs don't have the legs anymore, they would do well playing with a work horse ( Fletch / Carrick )
Hargreaves has being out all season :(

I assume you are saying that because of the game from last season? It was Hargreaves and Anderson which kept our midfield quiet not Anderson on his own.
 
Anderson is going to go one better in the replay and keep all of the Emirates quiet by scoring a hat-trick. I have inside information...
 
Anderson won't neccesserily have Fabregas in his pocket, it was one game, don't understand why Man Utd fans carry on about it all the time. It's not as though Arsenal fans say the same about Ronaldo, when he's been kept very quiet on several occasions (waits for stats on goals scored against Arsenal, penalties etc. etc. blah blah)
 
He never plays very well though and is always kept quiet! Fabregas is a world class player and has the potential to outplay any other CM in the world, but obviously not every game pans out perfectly, especially when you're up against Man Utd, so yes, Fabregas didn't have his best game last year but it's a little annoying to keep going on about it as if it's some sort of given that he will be played out of the game, especially by somebody who isn't nearly as good as he is, no offence.
 
Against Arsenal, I have never seen the version of Ronaldo who is the best in the world when he's playing against Arsenal, he's always rather poor

Regarding Ronaldo, I remember Arsenal fans going on about how he never plays well against them, this was after he had scored 2 at Highbury :/
