Well Germans are in the semi along with Portugal...was a pretty easy victory although to be fair i only caught the second half. Thought Germans were in trouble when Greece scored but was only a matter of time before the Germans scored again...3 times:p.

As much as i like Spain, i think Germans got their names written over this Euro.

Will be interesting to see how Spain fare against France and vice versa with Eng and Italy...but odds on that it will be another German and Spain final.

Was it the Semi final in Italia 1990 with England and ze Germans? If so, I remember that being the best game of the tournament and was said by many that should have been the final.

Don't hold much hope for the French but I really hope they knock the Spanish out tonight. I've enjoyed watching them in previous tournaments but they've played some of the worst football of the tournament and I've found them extremely hard to watch. Playing with 6 midfielders and no strikers is embarrassing.

I reckon todays match might go into extra time, Spain have not looked all that dangerous in all honesty they're just frustratingly good at holding possession.

It was bad enough when Scotland did it but to leave the likes of Llorente and Torres on the bench is just :o

Farcical. Iniesta's the only player in that team that'll run at people and if France can stop him they can stop Spain. Hope the pace of Ribery and Benzema can catch them on the break although I feel they'll have to keep it to 0-0 for around 60 minutes before Spain start playing higher and leave them space.

Simply can't understand Del Bosque's obsession with this 6 midfielder, no striker formation. It didn't work particularly well in the two group games so I don't know why he persists with it. I also don't see why he needs to play Busquets and Xabi Alonso at the same time. They're too similar and both too defensive, it's like Holland playing Van Bommel and De Jong together, it doesn't really work.

I'd like to see a midfield of Xabi Alonso, Xavi, and Iniesta, with Navas and Pedro up front on the flanks supporting either Torres or Llorente in the middle. I think 4-3-3 with two proper wingers would provide them with way more pace and goal threat. As it is, we're probably going to see a boring midfield battle. I wouldn't be surprised if this game is the first to go to extra time.
