I just can't get into that thought process.

Reading the article it seems apparent the Russians tried to antagonise them and do want t fight the English, the poles and the someone else. It's pretty sad really.

The Russians are out with a point to prove, they took hooliganism from the English back in the 70's and have taken it to the next level now (same as the Polish and Ukrainians), their fighters are mostly all martial arts trained, you see their club vs club fights and they're throwing proper head kicks and all sorts.
