That was purely down to Hodgson. Pathetic substitutions and no willingness to change the system or remove Sterling.

Utterly ridiculous. We're handicapped with him. :(

Pretty typical, saw it coming for about 30 minutes - why the **** we didn't put Vardy on for anybody, an out and out attacker would have (helped) pin the Russians back rather than taking off Rooney for an unfit wheelchair
 
Played well but poor finishing.
Sterling no end product, kane did nowt.
Crap subs, Rooney was playing well and to take him off was stupid.
 
Frustrating after playing significantly better than Russia. First half dominant, got the lead but unfortunately we sat on it and didn't try to exploit their lack of pace in the final 20 minutes. Some very good performances from our lot - Walker, Rose, Rooney and Lallana (for the first 45 mins). Didn't really happen for Kane or Alli tonight, but a good goal for Dier.

Should have won, but a draw against the second strongest side in the group is better than being on zero points. Still think we'll end the group top.
 
One semi chance Russia have all game and they equalise in injury time, England lack clinical finishing at international level.
 
So disappointing. I thought England played well but terrible substitutions from Hodgson. That game was crying out for Vardy to hit Russia with pace as they pressed for an equaliser.
 
What an infuriating match. We played really well but squandered poor chances and then have away a soft goal in the closing minutes.

Sterling was rubbish, Kane had a bad night. And Roy leaves Vardy on the bench all night.
