UEFA Euro 2016 - Quarter-finals **spoilers** (30th June - 3rd July)

Iceland have been excellent. Amazing fans, real teamwork and desire and they never gave up. The whole country will be proud of them.. Unlike some countries!
 
The commentators have just been talking about Schumacher's collision with Battiston in 1982, worth a look


Now I do believe they became best friends and I'm sure one was the Best Man at the others wedding.
 
I'm glad Iceland got a couple of goals back. They may have been hammered by France but they should go home with their heads held high.

This is the same excuse that's bee rolled out for all England's games.

"Russia parked the bus against England but not in the other games."
"Slovakia parked the bus against England but not in the other games."
"Iceland parked the bus against England but not in the other games."

Honestly, why would this make any sense? It's not like England have formidable attacking players. Why would it make sense to attack France, but sit back and defend against England?

It seems like a go-to excuse but not a very convincing one, I'm afraid.

Meh even silly tactics with like 3-5-2 would have probably got them further.
 
one of the more predictable results but well done Iceland

With home support Im kinda wanting France to beat Germany, but I cant see it happening (mind you , saying that, Germany have a couple of injuries which might make it more of an even game)
 
Unfortunate for Iceland, but at least my Giroud top scorer bet is still alive :p

Gomez will be a big miss for Germany - they haven't looked nearly as effective without him.
 
Wales should beat Portugal if they can keep playing like they are. Portugal have been woeful so far.

German vs. France should be a great match.
 
Going for France v Wales.

Portugal have been awful all tournament and on the brink of the final, ridiculous. Wales do have a few players out which could potentially cost them.
