Apart from the game where one of their players pretty much died on the pitch in the group stage, they've not lost to anyone except Belgium for a couple of years now. They're a good team and it was laughable that people assumed we'd breeze past them.
Frustrating isn't it.
People keep talking about how good our bench is but Southgate would rather ban all subs than use 5
We've done well when Southgate's hand has been forced and to his credit he rolled with it a couple of games but this is back to the old stuff that goes nowhere and desperate 89th minute substitutions which are pointless.

Rice just seems out of his depth. Hendo needs to come on. Sancho on the right for me. Sancho has that ability to drag players out. Not really Saka's fault as he has played all over the place for Arsenal.
Wtaf is going on? Are they just subsituting the entire team?
