Just got back from St Andrews, was a decent game and result so all in all not to disappointed with not getting to the knockout stages. Hopefully now we can kick up the table and push for promotion.

HE probably remembered that City are trying to get within a certain level of losses for FFP and every single game counts, even if its not a huge amount, winning the Europa is still worth decent money and financially, be champions of something is better than not in terms of advertising and deals. A 70mil a year shirt deal will look slightly less ridiculous for a side with a european title than one without it :p

There is after all only so many sofa's you can check down the back of for the missing 100mil a year they need ;)
