UEFA Nations League Group Stage Matchday 1 [1st - 4th June 2022]

3-4-3 against a much weaker opponent shows how timid a manager he is. He's definitely a good coach, but really lacks positivity in his style.

Never a penalty in a million years. Gets the ball, passing it back to the keeper and the follow through contacts the attacker. That’s a ridiculous decision. Imagine if every time a defender touched an attacker in the box after clearing the ball it was a penalty.

Why is he putting his arm out like that? That isnt a follow through.

Bracing himself for contact. The other guy is smaller and dips a bit so his arm contacts his face. Its not intentional and its not close to being a penalty.

Doesn't have to be intentional. You do that anywhere on the pitch and you're giving a foul away.

Just on England though. Does no one think how ridiculous it is that just after a season we have 4 games with the next 3 being the 7th, 11th and 14th June? Give the players a break ffs. The players will have what...3-4 weeks off then pre season?

Stupid.

UEFA doesn't care. Neither does FIFA. Cashcows.

There will come a point where something has to give. Either clubs will have to rest players more (unlikely especially if competing for trophies) or players will start to refuse international duty for anything other than the main competitions and the minor ones will become like the ECL where countries play their youth/fringe players.

I've got a good idea tbh. Expand the Champions League...that'll sort it.
