Well the turks can have a go at the manc contingent and I'll be here hammering the perfomances of the liverpool ones :p

even if they did linch him if we lost I'd still moan about his lack of tactical knowledge :p

lol Venables was a strange one, although he did quite well in Euro 96 to be fair, only a penalty shootout agains Germany of all countries :confused: ended the good run.

I could see Alan Shearer trying the managment of england a few years down the line.

yeah he is a possibility but he will have to go some way of proving himself at club level first.

I think someone like Curbishley would do a decent job given a year or two more to ply his club trade.

Personally I don't think Turkey should even be allowed to play in Europe. The very very least that should happen is to lose some of the home advantage, remember fans aren't the only bonus to hime games....maybe they should get flown round the world a couple of times before the game :p

I personally think Beckhams actions at the end of the game were hilariously funny & fully justified. They were having a go at him all game with not only hard (& do excuse the phrase) tackles but going on calling him gay, pinching him etc so blowing kisses is in my mind a fair & funny reply to that.

What did Beckham and Gerrard do at the end of the Turkey game? I was in a motel in France on the day and the cheek of those froggie tv executives, they had chosen to show a France vs Israel friendly on tv instead of England so I never saw it :(

By the sounds of this thread, pretty much everyone thinks that it's going to be one big free for all. Personally I don't think so, fair enough it may be a bit rough, but rougher than some local derbies.........I don't think so!

I don't think its going to be so much a free for all on the pitch. Its the fans I think are going to be the problem.

Could do with Collina for the match though.
