Defending has been poor at times, but the passing and movement has been genuinely class.
Maybe I'm just easily impressed after the last few years watching the dirge Utd play
Think I have been spoiled with years of quality prem league and unfairly comparing to the men's game. They do play good footy despite the defending.

Is it just me, or were Norway basically absolutely terrible.
Big flat lines across the pitch at all times, no marking between the lines, second to everything, tactically atrocious.. They should have scored more?!

Norway were so tactically flawed it was almost hilarious.
I mean, I am not a footballer so feel free to rubbish my opinion, it is after all only an opinion. I am fairly well versed in a similar sport and I would have absolutely relished facing such a system in my own sport.
You can only beat the team infront of you, and they did that soundly, so job done, but to pretend it was a classic performance (in anything other than scoreline) is daft to me.

That was one of the better games, the divide between the more developed teams is very obvious when you get a decent game like Ger V Spn.

Lets not forget Germany smashing Brazil 7 -1 not that long ago. Also if the mens team had won by that scoreline there wouldn't be this whining about it.

Youre telling me people dont moan about the quality of football when England beat Montenegro 12-1 on aggregate over two games?
Norway aren't really minnows though, they were the toughest opposition in England's group and only 3 places below England in the world rankings. Quarterfinalists in the last world cup.
I expect England to thrash a lot of teams 8-0 (including Northern Ireland) but not Norway, although with the general poor standard of defending/goalkeeping in the women's game there is more chance of bigger scores even between relatively closely matched sides.
Shocker of a decision from the referee to send the Belgian defender off. Penalty was debatable, but to send her off for that? I've seen some bad decisions and that was right up there. Just desserts though, as Renard's penalty was saved, then putting the rebound wide.
