Uefo Cup 1/4 Final *SPOILERS*

Only just seen that they went through :eek:

Looked at the score last night at 1-0 to Basle and thought Boro had absolutely no chance.
 
What a game. My legs have bruises from hitting the seats in front of us. Never celebrated a goal like that before. £8m for Maccarone seems like a bargain just for that one goal!!

The atmosphere in the second half was bouncing. I'll probably look like this for a few days :D
 
can english teams dominate europe?

liverpool last year.... arsenal this year plus middlesbrough.

even though people say la liga is the best for football... how can it be if our english clubs continue to do so well in european competitions?

maybe if middlesbrough and arsenal can pull it off all the best players will want to play here.

even though most already do. i hope we can continue in the next few years to do well... maybe its chelseas year next year for the champs league... i would like it to be at least it can carry on the english domination.

as much as i think only barcelona are better than any of our top 4 (utd chelsea arsenal liverpool), spanish teams still dominate europe even at this stage (barcelona, villareal, sevilla).

Who says la liga? Everyone I speak to always agree the prem is the best :D
I'm a newcastle fan and I hope boro go all the way, amazing game ranks along side milan v liverpool/ spurs v man city / man u v munich / newcastle v liverpool.
If a hollywood movie was made about that you wouldnt believe it, awesome.

go have a listen to this, for those not around the north east the voice you hear is Alistair Brownlee a true boro fan, and commentator for Century FM has some funny reactions to boro goals but the one to the Maccarone goal is the best ive heard him do yet ;) "the greatest come back since lazarus"

haha my knee is bruised to hell from jumping over the barrier to run down to the front when the goal went in :D <- ive looked like that all today, even on a 5am flight to aberdeen this morning

It's up their with his commentary after Schwarzer's penalty save last season against Man City. "The greatest Aussie Hero since Ned Kelly".

As for celebrating the goal. My glassses fell off twice. Now I need to see if I can afford the money for Bucuresti.
