UFC 101 Declaration **SPOILERS**

Forrest is too overrated and his time in the UFC is over as he is no longer good enough to compete in the standard that needs to be set. His chin has always been crap and it was so awful to watch him become a joke with that knock out. Silva needs world class competition and if his next fight, against Dan Henderson for the middleweight title gets the go ahead, I think that will be the bout that really sets his mark if he wins.

Henderson has never been knockout or stopped if I am correct so that would be a fight to watch.

Forrest loses to one of the best P4P fighters to walk the planet and suddenly he's overrated?

Silva has already stopped Hendo and i see no reason why he won't beat him even more convincingly next time if it happens.

Looks like my habit of ruining fighters careers has continued, with the Torres result, now I didn't see that one coming.

Yeah it was a big upset, looked like he was on the verge of gaining the upper hand but got caught with a bigtime counter. Can you hype up Junior Dos Santos please? I want CroCop to beat him and move back up the ladder :D

Cro Cop is finished mate, he looks gun shy to me, after the Gonzaga knockout.

just watched WEC last night too... brian bowles... looks like a psycho ranchboy...punches like a lead fisted robot...

he nearly ko'd torres about 2 mins into the fight, and then properly KO'd him late on, thought the ref was slightly tardy there.. but still...impressive...

Indeed.

I can still remember that knock out, we were sat in the M.E.N near the top of the arena and the sound was unbelievable. EVeryone went quiet for a split second and the sound of the kick was lick clapping your hands as hard as you can!!! Crazy KO, possibly the best i've ever seen.

Crocop has been looking older & slower and less powerful for a few years now. Forrest is virtually a beginner compared to Anderson and it showed. He's pretty good all things considered. I would like to see Okami get a shot also Hendo and Nate again too. Demian Maia in the future looks like a threat. Rampage at 205 would be intresting.
His two fights before Forrest were kind of gimmies, although solid fighters neither Leites or Cote are top10.

Oh and on a final note, how bad is Dan Mirigliata? He HAS to be the worst ref i've ever seen in MMA. Appauling stoppage in the Sadolah fight, not for the first time ending early. Quite how he manages to keep getting the job in reffing main card events is beyond me.

I completely agree that it was a shocking stoppage but as far as I know the UFC dont select the ref's - they are appointed by the athletic state commission!!

Oh yeah I know, wasn't blaming the UFC, but surely the athletic commission must have some form of review of their refs performance!

and the judges...some of the points rendering is redicolous...

like how a fighter and his team will watch the replay of the fight and work out what was good and bad, do the NSAC not rewatch the fights and re-score them and then contrast vs the original score to see who dropped the ball when 2 judges give the same decision and the other one (usually cecil people or something) render the exact opposite decision...

that cannot continue...it can ruin a split decision and squash someones record...

Cecil Peoples :p

He is virtually alway the '1' in a split decision. There have been some truly awful judging scores in the past few years
