i like the game i can beat all my mates but their seems to be insane players online, you on PS3?

online all they do is submissions and ground and pound, nobody ever attempts stand up. it's so boring, so me and my brother have a rule where it's standing only for the first round, after the first round, whatever goes.

some guys are also unbeatable within their weight class, Lesnar, GSP being the main 2. doesn't matter how bad you are going one of them two makes it 90% chance of a win in your favour, they are far too overpowered.

Yeah PS3 owner.

Please, dont get me started on 2010's online experience. It annoyed me so much I gave up playing it online.

Locally (with a friend or AI) the game was great. Really challenging. UFC3 has promised to be even better.

love to give you a game some time then, as long as we can come to some sort of agreement on the floor stuff, it's just too easy to grind an opponent down, it makes for boring fights.

basically if the other player is beating you in stand up, take them down and punch the face and move position, hit the face 2 times again and move position, repeat until face is busted. it's far too easy.

either a 10 second rule or no takedowns, if the player gets knocked down you can jump on him, but no direct takedowns allowed, or do you prefer takedowns? i love jiu jitsu, etc but it makes for a boring game.

If it's just a rehash of the previous incarnations I'm not sure I'll bother.

EA were on the right tracks with their control system but the game was utter pap.

This is coming form a massive MMA fan.

This isnt like COD lol.

THQ have been working on this for well over a year (they never released a ufc game last year). Trust me its more than a rehash.

i think UFC has upped there game a lot, i saw a video months back on the new one, but even if it is a re-hash, i will get it for the updated fighters.

i only buy 3 games now every year, UFC, COD and FIFA, all of them are basically rehashes but they are the only 3 that get consistent play from me.

i used to buy all sorts of games but those 3 are the ones that i find myself regularly playing.

new CSS coming out on PC will take a lot of my time too, will probably stop buying COD from now on and the new CSS will take it's place.

I will reserve judgement until I've played the demo then. I do hope it's good though!

you have to remember this is a completely new type of game MMA is now only in its 3rd generation game wise and first generation console wise. It's most likely going to take quite a few attempts before they nail it down to almost 100%, but they do get better every year even if marginally.

You can still get Overeem up until feb 14th i think by liking the page, i also do not have facebook, so i used someone elses but gave them my email address and details in the pop up that came up, so i get the code on feb the 14th.

lots of info on wikipedia about all the fighters and new stuff check it out.

Gameplay changes

  • UFC Undisputed 3 is expected to have many new changes from UFC Undisputed 2010, including the following:[1][2]
  • New THQ servers for online play
  • Pride Mode, with Pride rules, ring, and fighters. Commentary will be provided by Bas Rutten and Stephen Quadros. Lenne Hardt will announce the fighters in Pride.
  • A brand new submission system.
  • Mo-capping used for fighters giving more realistic movement and striking.(This doesn't apply for all fighters. Some will still use archetypes.)
  • New Stats: Footwork, Ground Grapple Top and Bottom for offense and defense.
  • Fighter entrances.
  • Two gameplay control options: traditional and simplified. (Pro and Amateur controls)
  • Leg Kick TKOs, including leg breaks from checked kicks.
  • New submission moves including the standing rear naked choke, standing guillotine, and the flying scissor heel hook.
  • New KO animations.
  • Damage recovery between rounds.
  • Cuts affect stamina and energy recovery rate.
  • Redesigned striking game emphasizing jabs, quick strikes, and combinations.
  • New Stamina system. Your stamina can only come back up so far until you are fully rested.
  • Stamina depletion will also effect fighter's stats.
  • New clinch controls. You can close the distance to keep from getting knee'd to the head & punching your way out. (This also helps in other areas)
  • New transition in the clinch to back control.
  • Whip knees can be done to the body & can be blocked.
  • Stat decay removed in Career Mode.
  • Roster fighters from the UFC and Pride can now be taken through career mode.
  • Auto-Block removed.
  • New ground positions with the cage.
  • Using the cage to set-up submissions & "wall walking" back to a standing position.
  • New options, such as Stamina Simulation mode, Competition Spec mode (Removes all random elements such as flash KOs and doctor stoppages), and Stat Equalizer (Equalizes all stats to 80 for both fighters).
  • Reach is now a big part in striking.
  • Fighters are now able to sway on the ground to avoid strikes.
  • A new feint system.
  • Takedown-intercepting knees have been added.
  • "Finish the Fight" allows you to continue striking until the ref pulls you off.
  • Sweeps are back including new ones.
  • Elbow spamming has been fixed. Only certain fighters have elbows in clinch range.
  • Ref resetting has been fixed. You can only pull someone off the cage by a takedown/slam.
  • No more sub-cancelling.
  • Pride Grand Prix have been included, with the ability to have fights in the same night with damage moving onto the next fight.

Not only is there a UFC Roster but there is a Pride Roster and if fighters appear on both Rosters they wont be the same model, they will be different, for example in Pride Wanderlei has a busted up nose, etc but in UFC he is fine because he had the operation last year was it? Dan Henderson is like 10 years younger, etc.

Below is Pride Roster, the format the UFC Roster is on the page makes it hard to copy and paste.

Just playing the demo now on the hardest level.

Very challenging game. And pride is great.

Loving it.

I just hope it's online mode has been improved.

Would love to be able to watch fights, in the same way we would in ST4 and Tekken

What a fantastic game, loving the demo so much. A few annoying bugs but I can get past it... Can't help but play Pride over and over, something feels so satisfying about soccer kicking a downed appoint them stamping on his head.

lol

that is brutal, almost as bad as Wu Tang - Taste The Pain on PS1, now that was a brutal beat em up, would love them to make a re-make.

Love the UFC but never played the games, downloaded the demo. I'm loving it, finally got the hang of submissions and clinches.

I cant work out though how to do somethings though; If i have the computer dazed, how can i just take them straight down with out having to tie up first? I've had the computer daze me then just tackle me straight down?

I also seem unable to do small dash high knees ? Presumed it would be like double tap left stick + button?
