I know i know my own fault, BUT was a mobile van parked in the sneakiest sliest spot possible.

Theres a country A road with a short 40mph stretch, it goes past some houses set right back from the road, but these houses are in a little lay by type road right next to the main road. This road has a big 8ft high fence running probably 100m along separating it from the main road. Just after the fence stops the limit goes back to national speed limit.

The van was parked right next to the fence with a perfect view going up the 60mph bit, obviously waiting for people like me to speed up to 60 before the actual sign :( b******s!!!

Also the annoying bit is I have just moved house and haven't got around to sending off my change of address form on the reg document yet. So no doubt it will get sent to my old address and I probably wont even know about it for ages

I thought there was some kind of law where they had to be in plain sight, or is that just the fixed speeding cameras?

Fair enough if I was speeding in a built up area, but in a hidey hole just before a national speed limit is without honour :(

If the van can see all the way into the NSL, how does the cam know where the speed limit changes?

As they are parked in a road running parallel with the A road, with a verge + fence inbetween they probably have it at an angle which dissects the road up until it hits NSL :(
