Hey everyone.

Just noticed something that may scupper my upgrade plans.

I'm after this DFI mobo:-

However, I need to use the PCI-X slot for my Wireless Network card. My graphics card is a dual-slot and will therefore cover the PCI-X slot if I place the graphics card in the top slot. Now the DFI info says:-

DFI.com said:
3 PCI Express x16 slots (PCIE1 at x16, PCIE3 at x4 or x1 and PCIE4 at x1)

I just want to check. Are all the slots x16, but when being used individual. As the description isn't very clear. And then, I guess, if all three are used it sets to the speed quoted above, i.e. x16 / x4 / x1.

Thanks for any help! :D

I think if it's only in Crossfire mode.

But if I'm assuming right, your WLAN card has a 1x slot, the advantage of this is you can use it in any PCI-E slots that are full-length 16x size too, and not just the slot blocked by the GPU.

Oh right! Excellent, I didn't know that. So basically it will work in PCI-E slots as well. Heh, well I never. So basically I'll be ok any which way I guess then.

Thanks. :D
