Uh oh

If anything happens it will be related to North Korea. Personally I think they will do a test launch of something or other and it will go wrong sparking a conflict.

It feels to me that something pretty nasty is brewing and that it'll likely involve Trump screwing up, be it in Syria, North Korea or somewhere else. Whether it will draw Russia in, or if Putin is smarter than that, remains to be seen.

Civil war in the UK is unlikely. Civil unrest on the other hand seems pretty likely given how much anger seems to be building up.

War with Europe? Not going to happen. Even the hardest possible Brexit won't cause that because what are we going to be fighting over exactly? The UK is self-harming, not being harmed.

All eyes on Trump.

Have to admit I've felt like the world has been holding its breath lately like things have been, relatively speaking, too quiet too long and its too good to be true.

I tend to hazard a bit on the cautious side though and don't like to be too complacent when things are going good.

EDIT: I do wonder how much the feeling of impeding doom is due to media consumption, etc. for instance I was just reading that sales of NBC suits to countries around the South China Seas and the rough Korean area have increased by more than 10,000% both civilian and government contracts.

The media has a big part to play in all this negativity

Fear mongering makes them money and too many people instantly buy into whatever they read or watch

No, nothing is going to happen.

People have been having feelings "something bad on a global scale" is going to happen since the 60s.

OP is the same one that started his that Euro-tunnel thread where he anticipates and predicts getting mobbed by a ton of immigrants.

Either OP is some sorta precognitive or easily stirred by fear mongering media.

Well our Fallout games and post-apocalyptic TV shows have been gradually preparing us for "something" for a while now.

Hard to see that it's going to kick off soon, if you believe the MSM, IS now on the backfoot and it's gone relatively quiet over NK. Can't see Russia or China wanting to kick off as they rely on trade from the west and then there's MAD.

Perhaps the curve ball will be some unstoppable virus or disease that comes out of nowhere and turns 75% of the population into ghouls or zombies.

It's probably safer than ever but I think globalisation makes it feel unsafe and like the world is moving faster than ever into unknown territory.

I'm nearly 40 and the last 10 years I have had a totally different feel about them, really rapid change in so many areas.
