UHD Gpu's ?

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER GAMING OC Graphics Card

going for £470 including delivery, on a site similar to Amazon. However the seller is outside the UK so guessing that's not a good idea.

1660 Super IS VERY weak for UHD/4K. That is a 1080p card and no more.

You want:
AMD - 6800/6800 XT
Nvidia 3060/3070/3080 or higher

If you look at second hand an old 2080/2080TI will be similar ballpark to the 3060/70 so would be potentially viable.

Going much lower than this and for anything modern you'll struggle with 4K, albeit older games will run at 4K on older cards :)

5700XT/2070 Super upwards is very viable for 1440p on modern games, but 4K is too much really.

The issue with CP2077 is more the game is un-optimised, unfinished even.

When it is fixed a 3080, 3090 for RT and DLSS helps more at higher resolutions such as UHD or, if you dont need RT now, then 6800XT or 6900XT.

Out of all of those, the 3090 is the only one available. You'll need another £1-1200 atop your £450 to get something from a retailer with warranty.

You don't need PCI-E 4.0 to run these cards.

Second vote here for a 3070FE if you can find one.

Won’t be outstanding at 4K but it’ll manage it with settings tweaks.

I picked up a 3070fe just before xmas to use while I wait on my 3080, and can confirm you'll get a decent 1440p experience with CP2077 -meaning you'll get a good experience with everything else. I was getting lows of about 45fps with RT ultra / balanced. 75fps with RT off. Other than when speeding through the city at 180mph when a few textures seemed to lag behind, everything ran smoothly. I've finished the game including all side quests, so I can say that I ran well throughout the whole thing.

If your budget is 3060Ti then set the resolution to 2560x1440p (QHD) when you play CP and then increase it to 4k in other games. No need for full 4k all the time. The 4k consoles drop resolution in demanding games as well. You have that flexibility because you game on a TV which can upscale any input to 4k. There`s nothing wrong with 1440p.

after adjusting FidelityFX CAS in cp2077 I can game @ 1440p about 40fps on my RX580

Just hoping to get a 3060Ti as it'll be a lot smoother.

So I've had my 3060TI FE for one day now and i'm very impressed.
Can do full 4K UHD on my 3060Ti FE easily on some games like Project cars, Forza, CS Go.

On CP2077 I can play 1440p @ ultra with about 45 to 50 fps

Probably better off with RT Ultra and DLSS Balanced or Quality if the performance is there - DLSS performance uses a pretty low res reference and loses some of the Psycho enhancements.

Probably won't quite get ideal framerates on a 3060ti with 1440p ultra and DLSS quality though.
