UK law regarding returns

its not from a chain of stores, just a local one off store.


if it doesnt work can i get a full refund by law?

Cause I could make it *faulty*.

Legally I think that would count as fraud and possibly more illegal than breaking into the shop and stealing the money back (well that may be an exageration :p ).

I'm sure the shop would give you a refund. If it's unopened they can just put it back on the shelves and sell it at full price. They don't have to but they probably would. In computer shops it probably happens all the time since it's so easy to buy the wrong type.
