UK's Scariest Debt Collector

Yeah, let him hit you, take him for assault charges he'll loose his job and debt gets wiped for good PR.

Many people have died from 1 single punch. All it takes is to be knocked unconscious and crack your skull on the pavement. Not a good idea letting anyone hit you tbh.

I watched it the other week.

He's not really a debt collector, just a thug. I'm amazed he's allowed to get away with this sort of thing.

Also watched it on youtube and thought the same thing. Couldn't believe how truly mental one of his "henchmen" was as well with a massive slash through his floating ribs :S

I know/know of some of his acquaintances. I come from a VERY big family some of which are from the same "area".

There is always someone more dangerous who'd have a go.

A acquaintance of an acquaintance is currently in hiding in the US after escaping a kidnapping and having a few teeth knocked out by having a pistol shoved in his mouth from his "Best Mate" after a business deal went sour.

Businesses were torched people were shot and grenades were thrown

Pretty much most of them either end up dead or in prison

Luckily I never turned to the "dark" side

Just because a guy looks "tough" doesn't necessarily mean they are strong, or know how to use their bulk.

I'd suspect that the guy in this vice documentary does, I mean he owns a gym/boxing club/mma club and is shown on film slapping about some of the rather large/scary guys who go to his gym... they all seem to look up to him as the 'boss' he probably can hold his own and I doubt he got to that position just as a result of posturing, in fact some of the guys acting subordinate towards him certainly look a bit bigger and scarier than he does..... It also seems his main role is debt collecting from other dodgy criminals or people operating businesses in a semi-legal semi-dubious fashion... the sort ordinary bailiffs might stay away from.

Incidentally one of the guys he was filmed giving a little slap to in the documentary, after catching him selling drugs in the gym was found dead in a local park.

The problem with these types of people is they think that violence is the solution to everything, it's all they know. The problem with that is they can easily be outwitted.

Gotta say though, for people labeled as a bunch of hipsters... Vice has produced some alright documentaries... some the the North Korean stuff was bold of them, inc North Koren workers in Russia etc..

Did anyone watch the bit in the documentary where he was describing how his mentor would rape someone who owed him a debt? This was done out of humiliation and would guarantee him the money back swiftly regardless of the amount because the victim didn't want anyone finding out.

I think in some situations your wit is of limited use... he collects from businesses for example, if you have to be at your physical business location (say you're a dodgy scrap dealer, second hand car dealer, other dodgy individual) in order to earn a living and this guy is after you then short of skipping the country or getting round the clock police protection your wit isn't going to be much use to a thug who wants money or will dish out violence.

Perhaps you can hire someone bigger to take care of him... then perhaps that backfires, he knows the guy and you're doubly screwed...

I think if any of these guys were chasing me over a debt I'd pay up pretty damn quickly...

Not exactly accurate.

He fell 2 storeys trying to climb in his window after his girlfriend kicked him out

Your wits will be of no use when you're tied to a chair and someone's holding a drill to your kneecap.
