Is it safe to overclock with ULPS enabled in CF configurations?

HIS iTurbo gave me a warning that my system would be unstable, however I guess the proof is in the pudding as MSI Afterburner seems fine with it enabled, overclocked and running Kombuster?

Also, I know ULPS disables one of the cards when not in use, so I am unable to see GPU2 temps in MSI Afterburner, is there any way around this?

Thanks,
Chris.

Yes, but it can be a pain when you wan't to add voltage to the second gpu, overclcoking within CCC is with ulps enabled.

Main thing here is don't use Kombustor, it's mainly a stress test that is not good for your gpu at all, use 3DMark/Heaven etc instead.

His/Trixx both want you to disable ulps for stability reasons when adding voltage.

Varied with different AB's/driver combinations for me, sometimes it gives a full readout on the second gpu, other times it doesn't.

ULPS enabled also screws up any monitoring applications you want to run as it doesn't force detect the 2nd card :)

Sweet :D

Absolutely LOVING my 7970 CF at the moment!!

The only thing stopping me buying a 3rd card is PSU limitations :p
